Version 1.2.1 is now up, it includes fixes for the downtime toggle bug and graph slow downs. The data is now limited to a resolution of 1000 data points (which is a bit more than the resolution of the graph; with large data sets its was reaching around 150,000 points which caused the javascript library to run a bit slowly!). Thanks go to Dave-H for supplying his 2 year long database for testing this!
ExPVR is a new application from pH-Mb which allows you to view, and extract recordings from the hard disks of XTV-based personal video recorders, such as Sky+ HD. It has been tested extensively with Sky+ HD (with the latest 'Darwin' firmware) and should work with PVRs containing similar software (e.g. DirecTV, MySky, SkyLife, Yes and Foxtel).
All non-encrypted recordings can be extracted, including non-encrypted Push VOD (Anytime Showcase) items using the user friendly interface.
Currently legacy XTV boxes (without 'Darwin', linux-base firmware updates, e.g the non-HD Sky+) are not supported. These have a completely different planner format and I need to have a partial hard drive image to add support.
You can try a free demo version (limited to extracting ~10 minutes of each recording) on the downloads page. If you like what you see, the full version costs only £7.99 and is available from the purchase page. It is highly recommended that you download the free demo version to check that this application works for you before purchasing.
